| I was pleased to come across the website for your church, and to learn about your plans for a new larger building.
As you know, your church edifice was originally the New Dorp Beach Moravian Church. My father, the Rev. Samuel P. Reinke, was pastor of the church from 1948 to 1956. He was simultaneously the pastor of the Midland Beach Moravian Church, located on the other side of Miller Field.
My family lived in the parsonage next to the Midland Beach church. That church building now also serves another Christian group.
Sincerely and with best wishes for your ongoing ministry,
John |

| As a forty-year resident of Willowbrook, it gives me great pleasure to welcome our new neighbors.
The particular block upon which the Church will sit is a microcosm of New York's religious and ethnic diversity. Just yards from the Church site stands a Roman Catholic Convent. At each end of Oakville street, are situated two Synagogues which represent the Middle-Eastern and European traditions of my own religion.
May our neighborhood shine as a beacon of religious tolerance and diversity. May the Willowbrook community stand as a monument to the viability of the American tradition of religious freedom serving to strengthen rather than divide our society. |
